Job Summary
What you will be working on
šActing as General Counsel for all Rampās business interests in the UK, EU and US primarily but also across all growth geographies. šActing as the Company Secretary for all Group business entities. šLeading on engagements with regulators and other governmental and industry body stakeholders. šMonitoring and staying abreast of relevant changes in UK, EU and US laws, regulations and industry best practices to ensure Ramp's compliance. šStrong knowledge of data privacy and data protection regulation, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide. šLeading and further building out the legal function-related frameworks, practices, policies and procedures. šWell-developed and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels. šManaging legal risks by identifying and addressing potential issues that could impact the companyās reputation and financial stability. šCollaborating with and support the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and the rest of the Legal team to evaluate and communicate legal risks to internal stakeholders and external parties. šDriving the relationship with Rampās Management team and cross-functional squads, acting as a champion for the Legal teamās expertise and building reliance on the Legal team across the company. šProviding legal support for any potential fundraise activities, mergers, acquisitions, or other corporate transactions. šAdvising on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder communications, and company secretarial duties.
What you will bring
šExperience in FinTech. šSignificant experience in a regulated setting within a financial institution. šIn-depth knowledge of UK and EU financial regulations and legal requirements. šStrong knowledge of data privacy and data protection regulation, and a good understanding of other major privacy frameworks and evolving legislation worldwide. šProven experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and management. šWell-developed and professional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels. šStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders. šExcellent written and verbal communication skills. šA proactive and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams. šExperience managing external legal counsel. šAbility to adapt quickly to changing business needs and legal landscapes.
